Sixt Is Great
I went last week to the rental location in Elmhurst NY close to La Guardia Airport, and on my way in, a departing customer was thanking a SIXT representative for his excellent service. I was next and she was right. The young man, James, was very smart, pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. I had certain things that could have made things a long drawn out process, if it could be settled at all. There were no problems. I was seen immediately, and later James even came off of his lunch break to ensure everything I wanted, I obtained. In addition, his colleague was also an extremely nice lady, who volunteered to help when James was on his break. Sorry I can't remember her name. There were two young men who were maintaining the cars in the lot. They too were very nice, well mannered and helpful. I read some of the reviews about his location and felt like I was in a Twilight Zone episode as my experience was completely opposite. I do not work for SIXT nor have I gotten any special treatment from that company, but they may be onto something hiring consumer representatives who actually care about consumers. I had a good experience at this site in Queens. I suggest you check out this location yourself, there may have been past problems, but currently, there is an outstanding staff there, who make renting a car a joy instead of a major headache.
