Falsely advertised as human hair: Matted after one wash, insulting refund offer
I bought the Kinky Straight Half Wig on tiktok shop, as a student who saved up specifically for my first wig. It arrived quickly and I was genuinely pleased with it, it blended seamlessly with my natural hair, I wore it out and got compliments every time. On 20 May, I washed it for the first time following normal care. The hair matted into a solid, unusable clump, the kind of damage that should not happen to genuine human hair. This is being sold as human hair. It is not behaving like it. I contacted customer service expecting a reasonable response to a clear quality issue. Instead I was told to burn a piece of the hair to "test" whether it was real, not something I was willing to do to a wig I'd already paid £89.99 for. When I pushed for an actual resolution, I was offered £10. Just over 10% of what I paid, for hair that failed on its very first wash. I get that their refund window had technically closed. But when a product fails this badly this early, a serious company works with the customer, they don't lowball them and suggest a burn test instead of an explanation. Avoid this seller if you want hair that actually holds up to washing.
