Excellent screen quality, minor gap between order comments and production
I ordered a first batch of 12 screens from Metro Screen Works. Ten came out perfect. The two screens with a pull lip were made larger than the size I needed because the notes I left in the order comments weren't carried through to production. I submitted a ticket and had a quick email exchange with Andrew Reynolds, who got a replacement order placed to remake the two screens with no hassle. I placed a second batch of 9 screens at the same time, and everything came out well. Screen quality is very close to OEM, arguably better. That's the main reason I'll be ordering from them again. Two things I'd suggest they improve: Build a real process for getting customer order comments into the manufacturing/engineering workflow. The information was there — it just didn't make it to the shop floor. The butterfly latches for my Andersen windows ended up about 1/2" high, even though I provided on-center dimensions in the comments. If custom latch placement isn't something they can accommodate, it would help to say so up front. Neither issue was a dealbreaker, and the response when I flagged it was fast and professional. I'll use them again.
