Be very careful if you pause or cancel…
Be very careful if you pause or cancel a subscription I would strongly advise customers to keep a close eye on their MDhair account and bank account after pausing or cancelling a subscription. I had cancelled my subscription, but was subsequently charged for a further order after MDhair says my subscription was reactivated. I did not knowingly reactivate it and, importantly, I received no email or other communication telling me that my subscription had been reactivated or that a further order was going to be processed. I challenged the charge and asked MDhair to provide information showing how the subscription had been reactivated. They have told me that their records show it was reactivated, but that they have no additional technical data showing the specific steps taken on my device, what was displayed on screen, or the reactivation process itself. As I say, I did not knowingly reactivate my account or receive any email confirmation that my account had been reactivated. Therefore best I can work out, I must have clicked a single button in an email and that was sufficient in their system to reactivate. No confirmation, no pause to check. The system allows for accidental resubscription with no warning or opportunity to rescind for the consumer. I have received a partial refund, but MDhair will only provide a full refund if I return the unopened products at my own (considerable) expense, despite my position that I never knowingly reactivated the subscription. My main reason for leaving this review is to warn others: a subscription can apparently show as reactivated on MDhair’s system without you receiving an email confirming that reactivation. Had I received such an email, I could have challenged it before a further order was processed. Whatever the explanation for what happened to my account, I find the absence of any confirmation of such an important change extremely concerning.
