Name.com used to be an acceptable but a bit to pricey registrar that I used for plain renewals. Now since 14th of June they have unauthorized added an upgrade "domain safe pro" never due by me on 52 out of 101 plain domain name renewals. Never happened before in the 12 years I have use them. Now a new plain renewal of 7 domain names and they charged me for the same upgrade I haven't done. I have documented everything. The feeling I get is that they play the wearing out the client so he/she can't find the energy to request their money back. Not sure if its incompetence or a money problem in Name.com but I do not recognize the company I chosen to work with in 2014. I can never recommend what they have turned into. Be prepared to spend days messaging multiple people who will create new tickets and then as you to keep you in one of them even if they all all shattered in details because they lack a holistic view and worst of all. They except the customer to solve their mess. So their plain renewal of domain names services has gone corrupt adding services you never ordered and get charged for.
