Great Brand, Very Disappointing Case
I’ve been using TORRAS Air cases on both my Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro, and I absolutely love them. They’re easily some of the best cases I’ve used, slim, comfortable, premium-feeling, and protective without making the phones feel bulky. Unfortunately, my experience with the case for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide was completely different. I understand that the Fold is a much more difficult device to design a case for, and I also understand that there isn’t an Air version available for the Z Fold 8 Wide. However, compared with the TORRAS cases I already use and love, this one feels far too bulky and takes away a lot of what makes the Fold 8 Wide such a great phone. The phone itself feels sleek and premium, but once the case is installed, it becomes noticeably thicker and less comfortable to hold. For me, it changes the whole experience of using the device. To be completely honest, buying this case was one of the worst purchases I’ve made in a long time. That was especially disappointing because I bought it precisely because of how much I trust and enjoy my other TORRAS cases. I was expecting that same balance between protection, design and comfort, but unfortunately I didn’t get that here. If TORRAS ever releases an Air-style case for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide — something significantly thinner and lighter while still offering decent protection — I would absolutely buy it. I’m still a big fan of TORRAS and of the Air cases in particular, but this specific case was a huge disappointment for me. I only regret choosing this particular model, especially because there are so many excellent cases available for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide. Another major issue for me is the built-in stand. It barely feels strong enough to support the phone properly, and I’ve already had situations where the phone actually fell over while using it. For a device this expensive, that doesn’t inspire much confidence at all. That makes the purchase even more frustrating, because the stand was one of the features I expected to be genuinely useful. Instead, I often find myself not trusting it enough to use it.
