Target’s same-day delivery tipping process is poorly designed. You cannot tip when placing the order, only afterward—but when I tried to add a tip, I repeatedly received a payment error on both the app and website. Target also does not allow payment information to be updated on same-day orders. After contacting customer service twice over two days, I was given no solution. Even “senior escalations” could only repeat the same information. If human support cannot troubleshoot beyond what the system already says, there is little value in escalating the issue at all.
