Everything about my experience with Hometap has been smooth and easy. You gave a quick response to my initial inquiry and you provided me with a very knowledgeable, courteous, engaging and extremely kind account manager/advisor. Meredith Schwartz does her job very well and I couldn't have been in better hands. I think if I had to suggest any changes, it would be to somehow speed up the timeline from start to finish. I realize that some of the processes are not under your control and are subject to the schedules of others. I think that many people find themselves in the same position I found myself in. We know we have a way to take control of a financial situation that is currently problematic and that is the equity we have built up in our homes yet we can't access it because our credit scores are too low or we've had a late or missed mortgage pmt or whatever it is that causes us to be turned down and time is running out and we stand to lose it all. Some how, some way we hear about a program such as Hometap and it's designed specifically for our situation. Yet we don't have 4-6 weeks left to us to take care of our obligations before we lose it all. So if there is a way to speed up the timeline for determining that we are a good candidate (or not), get the other necessary processes streamlined and then get the funding in to place a little faster, then that's the only thing I can think of for Hometap to improve. With that being said, I reached out to the companies that had the say in my financial future, let them know I was approved for tapping into my equity barring any significant unknowns and to extend my deadline just a little longer and if they needed confirmation, I was more than willing to provide access to Meredith to confirm my status. It definitely helped me. And now here I am, nearing the finish line as I signed my closing docs today, then wait out the 3 day window to cancel and then wait for the funds to be wired to my bank. account.
