They refused to take responsibility for failing to transfer hardcoded CMYK specifications to their sub-contracted printer. Equally disappointing is Alibaba's Trade Assurance process. During mediation, the support team threw out multiple different answers and excuses just to find a way out, ultimately admitting in writing that our daylight photos proved a visible colour defect under Article 56. Yet, they absurdly claimed the packaging could "still be used" completely ignoring the absolute necessity of accurate brand colours. Furthermore, because shipping was itemized individually, they knew the exact loophole: they quickly refunded the packaging itself right away while refusing to refund the $162.00 express freight cost for shipping defective paper stock. This left the bank's dispute team with nothing to go off since the product was already technically refunded. These suppliers and Alibaba know all the sneaky rabbit holes to exploit this system so they can avoid refunding your shipping, issue fast partial refunds to block chargebacks, and protect their fee-paying sellers who pay thousands of dollars in platform fees. The entire platform is heavily biased toward shielding sellers from accountability for manufacturing failures rather than protecting buyers, sticking us with freight costs for unusable goods.
