Buyers beware of Lectric’s return policy.
We bought a $1,830 XPedition2 for my 4’11” wife to ride with our two young kids. After only 5 miles, we realized she couldn’t comfortably or safely handle the size and weight of the bike, so we immediately stopped using it and asked to return it. Lectric told us they “completely understand” our concerns about the safety and comfort of my wife and children, but refused to make any exception because the bike had been ridden. We even offered to pay reasonable return shipping/restocking costs. Their solution was to sell the bike ourselves and take the loss, while offering us $50 toward accessories for a bike we don’t feel safe using. Potential buyers beware: you can’t really know if a bike works for you without riding it, but once you ride it, Lectric can refuse the return. I wish we’d known that before spending $1,830.
