Teacherrecord

ESL Jobs Online

As a full-time college student in the Province of Bohol, my schedule is all over the place—classes, organizational stuffs, and exams that come out of nowhere. I needed a side job that wouldn’t force me to commute or take night shifts, so I started looking for remote ESL work. I was specifically interested in conversation practice and beginner English for teens because I already tutor classmates and I’m comfortable talking, not just using textbooks. The most important things for me were schedule flexibility since I can only teach after 6pm and on weekends, a decent hourly rate to help with allowance and bills, and companies that didn’t require a full teaching license yet. The biggest challenge was finding legit listings. A lot of “work from home ESL jobs” I found online were either scams, outdated, or wanted years of experience I didn’t have. I almost gave up until a friend mentioned teacherrecord.com. What I liked about it is that I could filter by part-time, evening PH hours, and no degree required, so I wasn’t wasting time applying to jobs I couldn’t get. I applied to a couple of conversation practice roles for teens and landed one within two weeks. If I could give one tip to other student teachers, it would be this: be real about your availability from the start. Pick a schedule you can actually keep for the whole semester so you don’t burn out. And use teacherrecord.com to search—it made it so much easier to find remote ESL jobs that actually matched what I needed as a student.
