China Discovery is exemplary
China Discovery is exemplary. Throughout the entire planning period, from March to August 2026, they handled all our suggestions and requests promptly, flexibly, professionally, and with great kindness. We especially appreciated the smooth management of the many changes we requested as additional travelers joined our team and new destinations were added to the itinerary. All the destinations and excursions were interesting and very well arranged. Together, they gave us a fascinating insight into modern China. We received a very warm welcome from every local guide, from the moment we arrived at each destination until our departure. They impressed us with their hospitality, knowledge, and flexibility. The choice of guides was excellent. Another highlight was the remarkable variety of scenery we experienced, particularly the beautiful views during our cruise on the Li River. We also enjoyed seeing the great diversity of Chinese cities and architecture, ranging from ancient places such as Xingping Ancient Town to modern, futuristic financial districts. Among the cultural settings we particularly appreciated was People’s Park (Renmin Park). The hotels were also excellent and often offered very good breakfast buffets. The only hotel that did not quite meet our expectations was the Ocean Hotel in Guangzhou. We would highly recommend China Discovery to anyone planning a trip to mainland China.
