DJI Power 1000 (mini) and Power 2000 WIFI Issues

To the DJI Product & Firmware Teams,I am writing to officially flag a massive design and firmware oversight regarding the Wi-Fi connectivity on the DJI Power series (including the newer Power 1000 models).Wi-Fi 7 has been widely available on the market for a long time now. Yet, despite buying premium, modern power stations, users with up-to-date home networks are experiencing constant disconnection loops where the DJI unit repeatedly drops its saved Wi-Fi credentials and flashes its Wi-Fi icon. The Technical Issue:The legacy 2.4GHz network chip inside the DJI Power units cannot cope with modern router configurations. Specifically, it completely crashes and wipes its internal memory cache when exposed to:Dual-Band/Tri-Band Smart Connect (Band Steering): The router tries to optimize bands, and the DJI unit fails the handshake, immediately dropping offline.Modern Security Protocols: The unit cannot handle standard Wi-Fi 7 encryption configurations (like WPA3 or AES+GCMP256) and drops the connection right after the app says "Done".Protected Management Frames (PMF): If PMF is active, the DJI unit rejects the network entirely. The Absurd Workaround:To make a DJI Power unit work, customers are being forced to log into their router's backend, disable Wi-Fi 7 features, drop security to legacy WPA2-Personal, and build a completely isolated, un-steered 2.4GHz network lane just for this one device.I personally struggled with this connection issue for hours until I had to dig through deep technical threads and find complex workarounds. Frankly, having spent good money on a premium product, encountering these kinds of foundational network issues is entirely unacceptable. In 2026, customers should not have to compromise or downgrade their entire home network security just to get a high-end DJI product to remember a simple password—especially considering the critical significance of cybersecurity these days. Even compact units like the DJI Power 500 or 1000 series should easily keep up with standard network protocols. Please pass this directly to your software engineers and product managers. This network handshake logic needs to be patched in a future firmware update so the units can gracefully exist on modern, unified Wi-Fi networks without throwing a tantrum and dumping their credentials.
