I’m extremely disappointed with my A1 and AMS Lite.
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Bambu Lab, particularly with the A1 and AMS Lite. I only had my A1 with the AMS Lite for about two months before I started having problems with the AMS Lite motor not working properly. For a product this new, I did not expect to already be dealing with hardware failures. Trying to get the issue resolved has been even more frustrating. I’ve gone through changing motors and even changing the motherboard, along with continued troubleshooting, but the problem has still not been properly resolved. Instead of getting a straightforward solution for a nearly new product, I’ve experienced continued pushback and have had to spend my own time replacing parts and troubleshooting. At this point, after changing major components and still dealing with the issue, I would have expected Bambu Lab to simply replace the defective unit or offer a reasonable solution. Instead, I was offered very little in the way of a discount toward a newer model. I purchased Bambu Lab because of its reputation for making 3D printing easier and more reliable. Having an AMS Lite develop problems after only about two months, then having to replace motors, replace a motherboard, and continue going back and forth with support is not the experience I expected. The printer may be great when everything is working, but customer support and warranty service matter just as much when something fails. Based on my experience, the amount of troubleshooting, parts replacement, and pushback required to deal with a failure on such a new machine has been extremely disappointing. I expected Bambu Lab to stand behind a product that developed hardware problems after only two months. Unfortunately, my experience has left me very dissatisfied with both the AMS Lite and the way the situation has been handled.
