Poor customer service when things go…
Poor customer service when things go wrong I booked flights through Trip.com and accidentally included my wife's middle name, which does not appear on her passport. At the airport, the Thai Vietjet staff were helpful and removed the middle name so she could travel on our outbound flight. They advised that the return booking also needed correcting. I contacted Trip.com customer support expecting assistance, but was simply told to contact the airline directly. I then struggled to get hold of the airline and had to resolve the problem myself by calling its call centre. The correction cost me an additional 574 Thai baht. I accept that I made a mistake when entering the name. However, what really disappointed me was the lack of practical assistance from Trip.com when I needed help resolving it. I was left chasing the airline myself, despite having booked through Trip.com in the first place. Booking a flight is easy when everything goes smoothly. The real test of a travel booking company is how it treats customers when something goes wrong. Based on this experience, I was very disappointed with Trip.com's customer support and would think twice before booking flights through them again.
