I stayed at Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center
I stayed in a Junior Suite, and overall, I had a very good experience at this hotel. The room was clean and spacious, with a great selection of amenities. I also appreciated the complimentary minibar, which was available without any extra charge. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of Liangmaqiao Station. The area also felt safe, with several embassies nearby. Unfortunately, the only major disappointment was the attitude of some of the front desk staff. The female staff member who assisted me with check-in was kind and professional, and her service was excellent. However, the service I received from the male staff members during check-out was absolutely unacceptable. Since I had paid a deposit by credit card, I simply wanted to clarify how the refund would be processed. As the procedure varies from hotel to hotel, I asked a reasonable question to ensure that everything was clear. While I was still explaining my concern, two male front desk staff members began speaking negatively about me in Chinese, apparently assuming that I could not understand what they were saying. I was shocked and deeply disappointed by such rude and unprofessional behavior. I was also disappointed when I was told that I had to arrange a taxi myself and that they could not assist me.
