PODpartner

Poor Embroidery Quality and Broken Promises

I cannot recommend PODpartner based on my experience with their embroidery quality and customer service. I initially ordered a sample because I was considering PODpartner as a fulfillment partner for my clothing brand. Unfortunately, the embroidery quality was below the standard I would be comfortable sending to a customer. The lettering was uneven and distorted in several areas, the stitching lacked the clean finish shown in examples on their website, and there was a visible loose thread that should have been caught during quality control. After I raised these concerns, PODpartner acknowledged that the loose thread was a finishing/QC issue. Their compensation for the poor-quality work was only a $1 credit to my POD Wallet. During our correspondence, they explained that their current embroidery setup has limitations with small lettering. They then offered a one-time embroidery test run for my next sample order. Their representative specifically instructed me to place the order, send them the order number, and they would have the factory perform the embroidery test first. They said they would send me clear photos for approval before proceeding with production and refund the order if the test could not meet my required standard. I followed their instructions exactly. I placed the new sample order and emailed them immediately on October 5 with the order information. After receiving no response, I followed up again on October 12. Despite the order remaining in a waiting-for-approval status, PODpartner never responded and never provided the test run they had promised. I ultimately requested cancellation and a refund because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding. For me, this became a much bigger issue than one imperfect embroidery sample. As a clothing brand, I have to be able to trust a fulfillment partner to produce acceptable merchandise, communicate when problems arise, honor commitments they make, and take accountability when something goes wrong. Based on this experience, I do not have enough confidence in PODpartner’s accountability or dependability to allow them to fulfill products directly to my customers. If they will not reliably follow through on an agreed quality-control process for a sample order, I am not comfortable taking the risk with customer orders. If you are considering PODpartner—particularly for embroidery—I strongly recommend ordering samples first, inspecting them carefully, and being cautious about relying on special quality-control arrangements even when they are confirmed by customer service.
