This was a scam
This was a scam. My experience with SmileSet was extremely disappointing. The treatment preview shown before purchase looked significantly different from the final treatment plan I received after submitting my impressions. The initial preview showed much better results, which influenced my decision to move forward, but once my impressions were reviewed, the finalized plan was not what I had been led to expect. When I raised my concerns, I was told the original preview was AI-generated and only a preliminary visualization, leaving my final result with multiple gaps in my teeth. I feel this information should have been made much clearer from the beginning, as the differences between the two plans were substantial. The company kept telling me that I was confused…. After expressing my dissatisfaction, SmileSet offered me only $200 back (which won’t even cover the retainer I need to purchase at the end of my treatment) despite the fact that I was unhappy with the treatment plan and would not be proceeding. I attempted to negotiate a fair resolution, but my counteroffer was denied. Overall, I felt misled by the treatment preview process and disappointed by the company's unwillingness to work toward a resolution that reflected my experience. I would encourage potential customers to carefully review the limitations of the initial treatment preview before making a purchase. I have all of the emails to verify this review is 100% true.
