1 star. I ordered a full-size bottle of Maison Margiela By the Fireplace from MicroPerfumes, a fragrance I know well and have purchased/worn multiple times before. The bottle I received smelled noticeably alcohol-heavy, weak, and inconsistent with the full-strength product I’m familiar with. I contacted MicroPerfumes to return or resolve the issue, but their response was essentially that batches can vary and that opened products are not eligible for return. That policy does not make sense for a fragrance-quality issue, because the problem cannot be discovered without opening and spraying the bottle. They did not offer to inspect the bottle, provide a replacement, or make any meaningful attempt to resolve the concern. Based on this experience, I would not buy a full-size fragrance from MicroPerfumes again and would not recommend them for anyone expecting retail-quality product strength or customer support when something seems wrong.
