unfair /unlawful practices
some time in either 2023 or 2024, Storage Treasures was sold. When this happened , everything changed. it used to be 15% fee for bidder/ 10% pro with a !0 % pymnt that came off the top for the facility. what this did was it kept the game honest. That it now changed. The fees are similar but the pymnt for the facility. is gone. What this does is it removes responsibility from Storage Treasures, assurances of honesty, and ends the paper trail. I have watched since this time how a 300 dollar unit went for double or even triple what it is supposed to go. if this had happened in the past, i would shrug it off to being a new inexperienced buyer and go on. now it has become a regular thing. My suspicion is the facility managers/owners are buying these choice units, sending paperwork to the state showing no sale, and paying ST their fee. I have talked to Jason at Extra Space Storage corporate (biggest culprit), and he assured me he would look into it. it went away for 3 months; now it is back. there needs to be some type of control. I have reported this to the state of Texas. If found correct, we are talking federal crimes with the national storage facilities complicit. It is federal because of crimes happening in multiple states . All I want is a level playing field. Too much to ask? if i loose, i loose; that is the game. but there is something very wrong here.
