My first experience with Getaround was extremely disappointing. I spent an entire day trying to complete the verification process. First, I was asked to upload my driver’s license, then a certified translation, then proof of address, and finally my tax documents and even a photo of my bank card, despite the payment already being successfully authorized by my bank. The verification process is overly complicated, time-consuming, and lacks transparency. Every time I submitted the requested documents, new requirements appeared with no clear explanation from the beginning. I have rented cars through several other platforms before, and none of them required such an excessive amount of personal information. Unfortunately, this experience resulted in a complete waste of time and an unsuccessful booking. I cannot recommend this service based on my experience.
