Car rental in Greece Athens airport
We had a group of 9 that rented (2) vehicles while in Greece. Upon return of the vehicles we were charged approximately 2000 euro over the originally quoted prices! We did ask for damage waiver ins but additional insurance was added (that was not requested) plus a VAT tax that was not originally quoted. We do not feel the additions quoted were explained properly prior to our signature. We will not be renting through Hertz again. If you do rent through Hertz, make sure they explain what all the costs are before you sign no matter how rushed and ask for a detailed invoice. Otherwise will not receive a detailed invoice until after the car is returned. At least that was our experience.
