Rude assistant in Bath store
Took my 3 daughters in to the Bath store on 30/7/26. Great selection of clothes and was planning on purchasing. One of my daughters was in the changing rooms (very helpful, friendly member of staff working there.) My other two daughters were sat on a sofa and behind that a bed, where they had seen other customers sat earlier. An assistant approached my daughters and stated in a rude tone ‘this is a display. That means you’re not supposed to sit there’ then walked off. I think perhaps some refresher customer service training would benefit here. No problem in the message itself, however the delivery was rude, abrupt and unnecessary - perhaps just being asked politely to move and redirected to other seats in the store? Unfortunately this attitude led me to spending my money in the other clothing stores very close to Urban Outfitters whose staff made us feel much more valued and welcome. (Perhaps a written sign making it clear that it was a display would have also been useful.)
