Bought a domain 4 days ago, I still can't use it, they refuse to change nameservers
I bought a domain from wix 3 days ago. I don't want a wix web site, I just wanted a domain name. When I bought the domain it didn't say anything about having to use it on a wix website, if it did I would not have bought it. I've been waiting 3 days for Wix to change the nameservers on my domain. Some wix support staff told me it isn't currently possible to change nameservers, but this is a basic feature provided by every domain registrar. I spoke to a wix customer service manager who asked for my name servers and told me he was sending them to the team who would make the change. Then 2 days later i get an email saying its not possible but i don't know what team that email came from and if there is still a team intending to make the change. Meanwhile I'm not able to use my domain name. A solution offered by wix customer service reps is to transfer my domain out of wix to another registrar who will let me control the names servers as normal. But it is not possible to transfer a new domain to another registrar for 60 days. What happens in the meantime? Wix is totally blocking the me using my domain name instead of changing the nameserverss as requested and like wix customer service manager said they would do! Its now day 4 and i still can't use my domain name. When wix customer service reply to me it's from a noreply email. So the communication stops with their message. It's like they said their conclusion and don't want to know if it helps or not. Amazed this is situation with such a big company. How do i get control of my domain name? Currently a huge mistake registering it with Wix, if I could cancel it register somewhere else, trust me I would. But its too late now. I'm stuck with wix as the domain registrar for at least 2 months before i can transfer it out. Update: today I logged into edit my domains dns and your help file app proactively popped up telling me if I want to edit my domain's name servers. I should click on "name servers" in the dns panel. I've got screenshots if you want to see them? So I've had a wix manager and your help application both tell me I can edit my own namerservers, and other wix staff telling me that I can't. At best it's conusing and I've wasted 5 days. Which is correct? Can I edit them or not?
