What started off great in the early days, turned sour over the course of 4 years with Collective. Initially, the communication was outstanding, the services were helpful, and the advice was sound. After they got bigger, their product suffered, and as a result, my business suffered. Multiple times Collective.com filed incorrect forms, taxes, and business compliances on my behalf. Not only do they do sloppy work now, they are IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of. If you need something from them, it sometimes takes weeks to get an answer. I am ashamed that I referred 3 friends to them (all of which have since cancelled). DO NOT PAY THIS COMPANY TO SETUP YOUR S-CORP.

My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. I was hesitant to sign up from the beginning, but their sales representative convinced me to try it with a free one-month trial. I decided to give it a shot. When I wanted to cancel, Collective offered me three additional months for "free"—despite already billing me for the initial trial period. I agreed to continue, but the onboarding process was a mess. It felt like endless homework: fill this out, submit that, link your accounts. No matter how many forms I completed or bank accounts I connected, there was always something else pending to "complete" my setup. After three months of this, I asked to cancel again and explained how frustrating the onboarding had been. They told me I could cancel, but first I needed to complete the offboarding process. That was ironic, considering I was never properly onboarded to begin with. I filled out the offboarding form and received confirmation that my documents and LLC had been transferred back to me. Then, to make matters worse, I discovered a third-party company I had never heard of would continue billing me, with no explanation of the charges. A week after I closed my account, I received a new charge for $340 for another month of service. This was after my account had supposedly been closed. This company is a complete scam. I am contacting my bank to dispute the charge and report it as fraud. I would never recommend this service to anyone. Stay far away.

Collective has been a great platform to use. Customer service is always quick to respond. I also had a specific need that was not native to their platform than they were able to add in for me. Overall very positive experience! Highly recommended.

I can’t say enough good things about Collective’s accounting services for S-Corps, and especially about their incredible staff (specifically Gulnaz S.). I recently had a nightmare situation with state unemployment taxes that would have eaten up hours of my time. Gulnaz not only stepped in with deep expertise but also went above and beyond to untangle the mess, communicate clearly, and get everything resolved quickly. Thanks to her diligence and care, what felt overwhelming and stressful was handled with professionalism and ease. I feel so much more confident knowing that Collective has people like Gulnaz on the team: knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely committed to helping me succeed.
