We’re sorry to hear you felt frustrated during your recent experience. For those reading, we’d like to offer some important clarification. Meowtel sitters are independent contractors who manage their own schedules and availability, and our platform policies — including reservation and cancelation terms — are published transparently, written to protect both clients and sitters, and applied consistently across our community. One point raised in this review relates to our 24-hour cancelation policy. While it is correct that reservations canceled within 24 hours of the reservation start date are not refundable, Meowtel also has a separate, clearly stated 24-hour grace period in which clients may cancel within 24 hours of placing the reservation and receive a full refund. In the situation referenced here, the booking had been placed only a few hours prior — well within that grace period — making the client fully eligible for a refund according to our published policies. We understand that misunderstandings around timelines or how specific cancelation terms apply can be frustrating, which is why these policies are written plainly and accessible to both clients and sitters here: https://meowtel.com/help-faq/customer/booking-modifications?question=50#50 We can also share that all concerns brought to our team are reviewed carefully and in accordance with the policies every sitter agrees to during onboarding.
