I've had my Nintendo Switch since launch, which means I've dealt with all of the issues their joycons have had and up until 5 months ago was still having issues with their joycons. I did a ton of research and Mobapad seemed to be the best from what I gathered. Man, am I glad I did the research and went with them, BY FAR the best controller out there for the switch, not even close. I have no complaints, love everything about it and the only regret I have is that I didn't buy these sooner! If you play handheld more often than not, this is one of the best purchases you could make.
I purchased the Mobapad M6 HD joycons, which I received about a week ago. I've been using them almost daily since and they are, in my opinion, the absolute best joycons available.
Some quick functions that make them great:
-The face and top buttons (A,B,X,Y, R, ZR, L, ZL), are microswitches (like a quality arcade stick) and it's immediately noticeable with their accuracy.
-The buttons are full sized, compared to the smaller buttons on standard joycons. These are similar to a standard pro controller, for example.
-The d-pad is also microswitches and feels excellent.
*I have multiple joycon sets, from multiple brands, and the D-pad is always the biggest negative with them. Seriously, this is the best D-pad I've used on ANY Switch controller. It really is excellent and makes older gen 2d games, Metroidvanias, and fighting games, feel like they should.
-The analog sticks are "Hall Effect", which will help them last without drift problems.
-The grips feel nice and are comfortable, even for longer play sessions.
-They have gyro functionality and Amiibo support.
I hope they have a similar product ready for the Switch 2 release. It took me 8 years to find the perfect Switch joycons here. Hopefully it doesn't take this long for Switch 2, lol.
These have quickly become my regular use Joycons. They do everything the originals do, but better. I really can't recommend them any higher.

I got the M6S joycons and I absolutely love them! Since I got them I've been able to use my Nintendo in handheld mode much more often. Before I could only do so for a short time before my hands started hurting. The M6S joycons are really comfortable to hold and I really like the colors. Highly recommend it!!
I've tried out a few joycon alternatives before buying this one. After trying out these ones, I don't see my self ever going back. These are by far the best and most comfortable Joycon alternative on the market.

By far the best top tier joycons for the nintendo switch. The joycons evolved my experience with the nintendos switch, as soon as I tried the Mobapad M6 HD joycons I was able to notice the great quality, ergonomics and perfect design. Now my son fell in love with them and took my M6 HD joycons forcing me to buy another pair.
This is by far the best accessory I've ever owned for my nintendo switch, the joycons are such fantastic quality and I will definitely be buying more products from mobapad in the future
I got the M6S model and have found it to be a quality product, the default joycons don't have much to wrap my hands around so it can be a bit uncomfortable, especially in handheld mode, I purchased these to be a permanent replacement for the default joycons since they have gotten beat up over the years, official joycon replacements from nintendo cost about $80 but I got these for about $45, they are at the very least just as good if not better than the original joycons that came with the switch.
If your looking to purchase a premium quality 3rd party Nintendo Switch Joy-Con, the Mobapad M6 HD is what you need.
I just recently bought the Mobapad M6 HD Joy-Cons and they did not disappoint. I really love the feel and quality, the Mobapad has to offer. It is so comfortable to hold and fits well in my hand when playing for hours. Ever since I bought the Mobapad, I find myself playing the Switch even more than before. The quality of the Mobapad M6 HD feels premium, it does not feel plasticky or poorly made. It's very stable and looks visually appealing.
It has lots of features such as gyro, true HD rumble, NFC amiibo support. It even has features that the original Switch Joy-Con don't have such as, turbo mapping (continuous actions), macro programming (allows you to perform complicated actions with just a push of a button), mechanical buttons, replaceable buttons or face plates.

First of all, I would love to thank Mobapad for creating probably the greatest controlers of all time! Simply put... Legendary! The M6 HD joycons have changed my gaming experience for life. My switch sat collecting dust for the past 4 years, because the stock cons are just to small for my large hands. Not to mention the drift and connection is unbearable. Mechanical buttons!! The nitro deck feels a lil more durable since it’s a shell type design, but I prefer these overall due to how well they are made along with still being able to dock them seamlessly
Ordering from their website is fast and easy. Delivery was awesome, had complete access to the package route. Then I received my item, was the Mobapad M6 HD white color. This is awesome, is the best joycon alternative ever exist. Gyro, Mechanical buttons with the best quality I ever tried, HD rumble, and HAL effect sticks. I have never used other joycons since I purchased these in May 2024.
Awful customer service. My package did not arrive despite saying delivered. Instead of replacing or offering a refund they persisted to pass blame and argue with me that it was not their responsibility. Their responses were very unprofessional and rude. They lack very basic business knowledge and I would never buy from them again after spending over a week in back and forth email arguments.
Great joycons and controllers that dramatically improve the Switch
I never liked the original Nintendo joycons, too flat and unergonomic and the best thing you could say about the sticks is they worked…mostly.
In May 2024 I bought the MobaPad M6 HD joycons for the Switch OLED. I’m not exaggerating when I say they massively improve handheld usage of the Switch. Satisfying, clicky mechanical buttons and hall effect sticks that are better than the sticks on my Xbox and PS5 controllers - and they don’t drift!!! Also mappable back buttons. They’re very comfy to hold too, nice curved bulging grip that is big enough to be comfy, and not too big that it makes the Switch less portable.
In September I bought the ChiTu controller to use when the Switch is docked. I don’t understand the name of it lol, but I absolutely love the controller! Like the joycons, hall effect sticks, mechanical buttons and back buttons on the rear of the controller that can be mapped to whatever you want - I usually map them to L3 and R3, I’ve never been a big fan of L3/R3 on any controller, so the back buttons solve that.
It’s December now, both joycons and controller still work great after a LOT of use! The problem with reviews is that often people post them right after getting them, but I can say with confidence these things are still sturdy and work perfectly after tonnes of playtime, 7 months using the M6 HD, 3 months using the ChiTu.
They also have motion control and NFC/Amiibo support so you lose nothing using them instead of the default Nintendo controllers.
My summary then is pretty obvious - if you’re looking for the best Switch joycons and controller the M6 HD and ChiTu are great purchases that you won’t regret.
They work perfectly. They're comfortable for adult hands, and great in handheld or docked mode for switch. The addition of swappable face plates that add an octagonal stick ring are nice, aswell as the swappable d-pad/shield. I prefer the d-pad but either is much better than the original joycon's d-buttons. For me, its the best replacement for joycons, even more than the switch pro controller just for the knowledge that stick drift is so much less common with the halleffect sticks it has.
