I cannot speak to your exact situation, but typically that expression is that we cannot assume a part is compatible to your spa without knowing the specific model of your purchase. If you did not purchase the spa through us, you would have to specifically identify the spa model. Additionally, all parts and covers list the compatible models. If the issue is that you are unsure of what model spa you have, we can help you identify it too!

Five years is about when you should have to start thinking about components, but it can be difficult to get to the lines if you have rodent issues. The fix is not difficult...just very tedious to get to. We are glad to talk you through repair options, but it will likely require draining the spa and turning it on its side to cut out the foam insulation (though the foam should remove easily where it has been saturated). Again, not hard but tedious. As for the spa itself, it will last forever if taken care of...pumps, control boxes, heaters, and control panels can be easily replaced when they fail. Jets can be replaced, too. The internal plumbing is the biggest conflict, but apart from outside forces (like mice) they last a long time!
