Superprof provides a service that allows students to connect with available tutors. To access this, you were invited to subscribe to the Student Pass for $49. This was clearly stated on the payment page, including the note that the charge would only be applied if a tutor accepted your request. Regarding your tutor raising her fee, while all tutors work independently, they must comply with the information advertised in their listings.
