Payed for an order almost a year ago and never received it. Tried to contact company many times, but no reply. Not sure what to do; curious if there’s any protection for customers if a company like this just takes your money

Made a mistake in my order and was scammed by the company, payed for two orders and only received one. Contacted the company multiple times, without any reply. Had to file a case against them and got my money (€125) finally back after 4 months from Paypal.
Two things: 1. the fit was far from advertised. not high quality. 2. I had to pay tax duties to DHL post delivery, in an amount close to the price of the t-shirt. The website does mention "client must gather information themselves beforehand" but it wasn't clear that the origin was bangkok and it is not customer friendly, not to provide actual information on that risk.
