Don't buy from this company! I ordered a purple clay gongfu tea set with an ebony tray. The "ebony" tray isn't real wood, just a compressed particle board with a cheap coating on it. Authentic yixing purple clay pottery is hand formed, but these have very visible seams from being cast in a mould which indicates a lower quality clay was used. The return policy says they'll cover the cost of return shipping, but shipping anything from the US to China is incredibly expensive and they'll really only offer $30-100 for it, which is nowhere near enough for even basic shipping.
I wish i'd read the reviews before purchasing! It took ages to receive my delivery and they couldn't give me an estimated date of delivery. When it did finally arrive the tea pit was smashed as well as the tray. I wasn't blown away by the quality. Asked for a full refund but was told to expect a replacement
Absolutely garbage company. All 5 star reviews are fake. They either 1) take your money and never send you anything, ever, or 2) from what I've read in other 1 star reviews, send small garbage plastic knockoffs of what you actually ordered. They say they send a package, but they use a fake shipping company called "4px" so that they can show you a single fake shipping update in which they tell you that they submitted your package for shipping. They didn't, though. 4px is a fake shipping company that does nothing but help scammers take your money. Never order anything from Umiteasets, and if anybody ever sends you something though "4px", get a refund A.S.A.P.
Shipping has been stuck at "picked up" for 2 months now. No one responds to emails. Shipper website is extremely shady with no contact information. I've pretty much counted it as a loss. Do NOT purchase from this shop. These 5-star reviews look very suspicious. They're written very similarly. I wouldn't be shocked if they're not actual customers. Purchase at your own risk.
Avoid this company at all cost: They are located in China, and if they send you a deficient, damaged product, you will have to foot the cost of returning it, which is more than what you paid for the damaged item to begin with. They will censor any negative reviews, just not post them, and they will not chat with you, and will gaslight and ghost you like the passive aggressive bullies they are.

This site is full of thieves. They did not send my package and they did not answered to my e-mails. They have answered at the beginning, but after i told them my problem (package has not arrived) they answer that will fix it and they are sorry for it. That was the last time when i receive any answer from them. After this i wrote them lots of e-mails and nobody answered anymore. I tried to solve with PayPal, but i did not find any resolution with them too (180 days policy). This site will basically steal your money. Beware of Thieves !!! should be written on this site and google should block them access. This site should be closed. At least i can do is to warn others. Please be aware that good reviews are fake, because they are promising some special teapots for a 5 star review...like i am stupid and i cannot think that if they did not sent me my order that i have payed for, they will send me a free gift ...

On live chat it simply comes up with a message to say to leave my email address as they are too busy. This happens every time once I explain what my issue is. I have tried leaving messages on their contact us page and have had no contact. These guys have stolen my money and would avoid them at all costs. THEY ARE SIMPLY THIEVES AND CAN’T BE TRUSTED AT ALL!!!!!
Received my order broken, tray broken, pot dents. I send in the picture they advise to send it back , they will give me $10 shipping cost while the actual shipping cost from canada to china cost more than $500, lol.

cute decorative stuff, but horrible company and service, cheap, mass manf items, not hand made as promised, with fake certificate, tried to return the items, sent back as instructed but have yet to see refund, its been 4 monhts and they wont respond, should be reported to BBB. total scam
I never received my tea set. And the company is no help. I am seriously disappointed. I contacted them asking where it was, they said it was delivered. I never got it so no it was not delivered to me.
Bought a set of stainless steel mugs to match 2 existing ones in the cupboard only to be sent completely different mugs.
After contacting them they offered to refund the cost of 1 mug as a gesture of good will however when I disnt accept this as a solution I was ghosted and left with £85 worth of mugs I dont want.
I will never recommend umi tea sets to anyone I know.....awful experience.
Poor service, did not accept a return without delay and excuses, then agreed to reimburse 5.00 on a 22.00 regular postage return to China. Company does not stock in the USA. there is no recourse to problems, purchase at your own risk.
These guys should be in jail.

Where to begin...
First, my order took over month to arrive. When I opened to the package, I noticed that a lot of the ceramic pieces had shattered during transit. Not only that, but certain items were just left out (e.g. sending only 1 quantity of multiple items).
The worst offense was a bait-and-switch on items in a complete tea set. They sent a completely different tea tray with drain than the photo online, and it didn't match the set at all.
When I contacted the merchant, they told me to ship the package back at my cost (well over $100 USD for service back to China) and refused to provide any other resolutions.
Avoid this scam site at all costs, not only are their products low quality, they are disingenuous and will not offer any customer service on the items that you order, even if it's entirely their fault.
If you don't want to be troubled and involved with all kinds of complicated process at custom clearance, do not order from this vendor. It is unacceptable their transportation company wants us to sign the receipt when they refuse to open the boxes for us. We were forced to sign when the goods are still in a box. Paid extra for them to deliver to our address which is provided.
Doesn't worth these hurdles.
I ordered from this site without looking at any reviews at all and only after placing my order I decided to look what other's people experience was. I didn't really liked what people wrote about umi tea sets so I instantly regreted my order.
Fast forward to today, the order took quite long to arrive but it's here and in mint condition. Everything was well packed with bubble wrap and this seethrough plastic. There was also white cork on every wall of the box.
Not sure so many good reviews, but many experiencing with them is my bad luck. Items arrive in 2 weeks, tray came broken and wood were chip and tray were crack. Pot came dents. Cheap material they delivered. I reach out to customer services and they reply saying you can send the item back we would offer 30usd for the return label. When the cost to return is $480 . Is not isnt our fault, n now we have to deal with a broken , dent, chip tray and pots and cant even return. Very disappointed with this website and will never order from China.
