I’m not going to say that this isn’t a credible company but I’ll say buyer beware. I tried canceling my order got an email response immediately including a photo of the lampshade that I bought and was told it would be expedited in the next 48 hours bc the tracking information that was available to me was dormant in the state of NY, USA going nowhere. I then received a follow up email from the same woman Hailey stating that the tracking was “invisible” in the USA bc it’s @ a holding sight, therefore I would get a refund if nothing is delivered to me several weeks from now as their shipping policy states. However, the lamp is currently “invisible” in the USA but somehow I can feel confident about the company who a few hours prior had emailed me a photo (not from the website) an actual photograph and was told it was being expedited w/in 48 hours. I’m just wondering how Hailey managed to take a photo of my lampshade in the box packed if it’s in a random holding facility. Lampshade looks beautiful. I’ll let you know if and when I make any progress on the situation. UPDATE *** As promised I will keep you updated. Hailey has since reached out to me again to explain how international shipping works and I appreciate her taking the time out of her day to update me about my concerns. I do have faith that my lampshade will be delivered by the shipping delivery policy as stated on their website. I would also like to acknowledge that Hailey personally had taken the photo before my lampshade had left China. I am really looking forward to receiving the lampshade bc it really does look even more beautiful than I expected it to look. So I apologize for jumping the gun and will continue to update from now until I receive my order but I feel far less uncomfortable whether or not I will receive my order. UPDATE ****** I would like to share that I received an updated informed delivery from USPS confirming that my order is supposed to be delivered in three days. I want to point out that it’s is DEFINITELY w/in the timing guidelines for package deliveries as stated on their website. I also want to explain that there are several websites which you can Google to see how reputable certain overseas companies can be and many had made me rush to judgment about the authenticity of Wide Bamboo but hopefully if anyone else ever questions whether they are legitimate, they come across this honest review. It was incredibly confusing to understand how international shipping works but I can only say that they have an amazingly kind and patient customer service representative named Hailey that has been exchanging numerous emails w/me and deserves a raise for putting up w/my constant passive/aggressive, confused, frustrated and borderline disrespectful emails. I still publicly apologize for being so ignorant about the customs policies and making assumptions FIRST rather than trying to educate myself so I actually know what I’m speaking about before I rush to judgement. I’m super excited to let you know when I receive my order. FINAL UPDATE ***** Long story short, THERE WERE ISSUES!! LOTS OF ISSUES!! That being said, the company DID give me a partial refund and I think in the end I received and after the partial refund got what the accurate purchase price should’ve been. I think it was NOT necessarily the company who dropped the ball but perhaps the shipping company they chose to work with. In the end, I got a beautiful lampshade and the company did the right thing and put the customer first. That shows integrity. So I applaud them for that. ONE LAST SHOUT OUT **** Folks, I’m gonna be 100% honest and admit that Hailey COULD be some creepy AI bot that I’ve been exchanging long winded emails with but trust & believe HAILEY IS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE REGARDLESS IF SHE’S A ROBOT!!
