Have been a buyer on Collx since 2023. I am a Gold member. Started selling just a few months ago. I am already done with Collx. Customers claiming cards are fake. Is bad enough, but the disrespect that I received from one of there priority support specialist, named Tim, was down right humiliating & belittling. Tim has no social skills, no communication skills, is an absolute mean person. Tim is unbelievably unprofessional. He gave the me the seller, no respect. Treated me like trash. Mind you, I’ve been with this company since they started in 2023. Tim gave the buyer 100% respect. Tim gave the buyer a full refund of $500 because the buyer claimed the card was fake. No need to send back my card, no need to get the card authenticated. Just gave the buyer full credit.
Tim needs to be fired, at the worst case scenario, I need my card back, which is a Tom Brady Bowman rookie card. I would stay far far away from this company. At least Ebay has the card authenticated. To make sure it is real or fake, but that’s not what you get when you deal with Tim. He thinks he is a judge, jury & executioner. Adios Tim, I hope they fire you.
Awful experience as a seller. Buyers simply have to claim a card they received is fake and they keep the card and their money is released back to the buyer. Sellers have zero recourse and the service reps are not helpful at all, they just wished us luck in the future. Do not use this platform as a seller! I suppose you can use it to steal cards from other sellers, though.
I’ve had this app downloaded on my phone for 3 years
I’ve had this app downloaded on my phone for almost 3 years now and I can tell you that the only reason you should download this crap is if you want to get good deals on cards. CollX refuses to fix problems that stare them dead in the eyes. I’ve reported all these problems and begged for changes for my entire time and they continue to ignore them.
One of the things they refuse to fix is seller refunds. I’ve bought so many cards that were refunded by sellers. It happens way too often, and happens to a lot of the other users on the app. Instead of punishing those who do not honor the sale, not only do they RELIST the card that was refunded automatically, but SHOWCASE it on their front page. It would be VERY simple for them to remove marketplace from users that continually refund with the reason “didn’t want to sell for that price.”
The ambassador program is another joke of theirs. The ambassador program is meant to help new users and be a bridge between the average users and the CollX HQ. 99% of the ambassadors on CollX do absolutely nothing. Eric is the only ambassador that has genuinely helped me with my problems, and helped me submit customer service tickets. Instead, ambassadors are promoted WAY more often than the average user on the CollX front page, leading to more sales for those users.
Their scanner is also a complete joke. Even after they implemented AI to help with the scans, it still gets cards wrong 50% of the time. Ebay’s scanner works 100% better. Going off of that, the scanner on CollX also gives you terrible pricing. CollX advertises themselves as a way to “quickly find the value of your cards” but then gives you outdated, incorrect pricing. Ebay, again, is much better at finding prices for you on their scanner. This is why the only reason you should use CollX is if you want good deals on cards.
Another thing they refuse to fix is their AI moderation. I’ve been banned from this app several times for no reason. Both times, an AI banned me automatically. The first time I was banned, it took several days for support to reach back out to me. When they finally did, they realized that I was not at fault and unbanned me. This most recent time, an AI banned me permanently for scamming. However, I hadn’t sold or bought a card in over a month. I reached out to support almost immediately. I was responded to almost 12 hours later and was met with a dry “we can’t tell you why you were banned” and an instant dismissal of my case.
The final thing they refuse to fix is their customer service. Extremely bad customer service, the fact that I am not getting a response within 5 hours, and then getting a dismissal of my case instead of a genuine reply? Not all of the customer service representatives are like this, but they sit on endless customer service tickets all day and never respond to them.
To the CollX team member that’s reading this review, I don’t want your sorry excuse for what I should do next as a reply to this review. I’ve supported this app for so long and defended it but you all betrayed me by banning me and dismissing me. If you’re looking for my email, it’s the one that your support team member Tim wrote me back on. You all created my passion for cards, and now you’re destroying your reputation with me. You had way too much potential when I first started to be staring these problems dead in the face for so long. Do better CollX.
Customer service speaks in a very co descending way. Rather than offering solutions and showing understanding, a rep named Tim went on a rant abiut what should have been done e differently.
If i could leave zero stars i would the app is ok looked like a great place to sell until you have an issue the easy post company they use for labels is terrible hardly any tracking on anything was told 1 thing bu 1 person then something else by another then a LADY got involved and banned me i had several hundred dollars in orders mailed they're trying to say a ard is fake but refused to give me their authority persons credentials what they did to determine it show. Me where the person physically had in their possession etc then their so called coo sends me an email of cease and desist threatening legal action if i dont stop spreading false info from what ive seen here reddit and bbb my FALSE info is correct lol stay away
Worst experience ever, they refunded a buyer his money without confirming he shipped out or had cards. Buyer had cards whole time then wants to negotiate a cheaper price for them once he got the money refunded and cards in hands, I have screen shots of collx just passing issue off as post office or not helping one bit. Poorest customer service ever stay away
Ther app is ok until you have an issue! The support and "Priority Support" are a complete joke!!!!!!! I sold a card and the buyer cracked the PSA case and sent me a picture and said it was broke in the mail. It was packaged very well. They made me accept the return and when I got it back, not only was it cracked perfectly (just at the top) the card inside was not my card. It was the same card but had pinholes on it. The customer cracked the PSA 9 slab just enough to get the card out and slip an old damaged one inside and then made a claim for a refund and I was forced to accept it. Contacted support team on 5 occasions and kept getting the run around and then they went silent. There is NO protection for the seller on the site, so proceed with caution.
I sent sum cards out and they were lost, and because of the label not being a USPS tracking number they can't track it so now I must pay for the cards that they lost horrible app don't use it and there's a lot of rude people on there and I made sure I dropped them off at the post office
I was satisfied with the app — until I had a real issue.
I’ve used CollX’s shipping process for all of my transactions. In the past month alone, I’ve had THREE buyers claim their cards never arrived and request refunds. Each time, CollX sided with the buyer.
I am now out over $100 AND the cards themselves.
When I filed a complaint, I received nothing more than a generic, stock response about their shipping policy. No investigation. No meaningful support. No accountability. Sellers are forced to assume 100% of the risk, even when using CollX’s own shipping process.
That is unacceptable.
If buyers can simply claim an item didn’t arrive and automatically get refunded, while the seller loses both product and money, the platform is fundamentally broken for sellers.
The app looks polished, but when something goes wrong, there is no real protection or support. Sellers beware — you carry all the risk.
It’s a good app on the outside looking in! That’s my title
Was mostly satisfied with app until I had a problem!!! Been a pro level user for 2 years and never really had any issues until a refund was requested and it was he changed his mind (not my problem) in the dispute collex support team said no refund but then issues a return !!!( same as a refund in my book) so im still responsible for it now !!!! I’ve tried to message the priority support team for three weeks have sent 11 to 15 messages and went through their AI support and had them sent over prioritized and urgent messages and have not heard not one thing back. How does that make you a priority support team and make your people feel like they’re actually pros in this game so changing sites and servers it’s a great out if you don’t have any problems whatsoever first problem no help. so if you want to catalogue your collection, hopefully they can get the right card name and number and parallel but for the most part is just you gotta go to eBay and then still put it in yourself so if you have a computer you can do all this yourself with a spreadsheet.
Clearer communication, greater transparency in dispute resolutions, and stronger seller protections would go a long way toward building trust and confidence for those selling on the platform.
CollX is a solid platform for buying and selling trading cards, and it has a lot of potential. That said, sellers should proceed with caution.
From a seller’s perspective, there appears to be limited protection against bad-faith claims. The system understandably prioritizes the platform and the buyer, but the lack of transparency during disputes is concerning. Disputes are meant to reach a resolution, and while sellers are expected to accept the final outcome, both parties should be clearly informed of the reasoning behind any decision.
In situations where a buyer claims an item is counterfeit, the seller may be placed at a disadvantage. A buyer can submit photos or videos for review, and while CollX states that a staff member evaluates this material, sellers are often not provided with details of that review or the justification for the decision. In some cases, sellers only become aware of the outcome by closely monitoring the transaction themselves, rather than through direct communication.
Clearer communication, greater transparency in dispute resolutions, and stronger seller protections would go a long way toward building trust and confidence for those selling on the platform.
It was the absolute worst when it comes to scanning
It was the absolute worst when it comes to scanning a card.. I took a straight on beautiful shot of multiple different cards over and over & nothing.. don't waste ur time
If you’re thinking of using CollX, save yourself the trouble. This company has awful business practices and is completely unreliable, especially for sellers. The app’s scanning feature is wildly inconsistent and frustrating to use, often misidentifying items or failing to recognize them entirely. As a seller, avoid this platform at all costs — there’s absolutely no seller protection. If something goes wrong with a transaction, CollX won’t help you.
I reached out to customer service regarding an issue, and I was appalled by how rude and unprofessional they were. A guy named Tim, who apparently works for their support team, has no business being in customer service. He was dismissive, condescending, and completely unwilling to resolve my issue. Honestly, he shouldn’t even have a job in this field.
Overall, this company is a nightmare to deal with. Their lack of support, combined with faulty app functionality, makes it clear they only care about profit, not their users. Don’t waste your time or money here. There are much better platforms out there that actually value their customers.
Beware!!!! I sold sports cards on collx. The buyer received the cards and was satisfied. However I never received payment. I contacted collx several times to tell them they had not deposited sale funds to my account to no avail. Beware of this site. Customer service is pretty much non-existent they send you random responses with no actions attached. it's been a month and I'm still not been paid. If I could use a zero score I would. I also received the $15 credit from collx due to the sale that I made, but could not spend the credit. Did not live up to my expectations by any means.
I have the “pro” version and the only pro in the situation is they can proceed to charge me monthly whereas the program has not been working right. Now the last two days I can’t even get into the app. You contact customer service via email and they send the message to your app. I can’t get into the app so I can’t see the message. Don’t dare actually get a real customer service agent because they get rude when you ask a simple question. I have over 10k cards scanned & no access to them. Don’t bother with this useless app. It’s a scam.
Going on months now with outstanding refunds caused by inactives. Collx wasn't allowing the sellers to issue refunds, and then all the sudden are. Can't get refunds from inactives and Collx hasn't done anything about it. Stay away from this app most of the reviews are from their "Ambassadors" who will encourage scamming. I was an Ambassador at one point until I told them to remove me from that crap when I realized what was going on. Even that took a month or more. They have absolutely no care in the world about their customers and that is a huge problem. They just want your good cards and money, Collx has no care or concern how they get it. Allowing multiple accounts by select people is a huge red flag.
CollX is a joke. Signed up for pro and started using it, then suddenly could not get into PTO. That means I can’t access more than 500 cards. I downloaded well over thousand cards. I tried to contact them several times and they only responded once without ANY assistance. They have continued to charge the $10 monthly fee. I believe they were just stalling to collect more money before I cancelled their lack of service, service.
