Lavieloo Innovations is a Singapore-based pet product company created by bunny parents, for bunny parents. 🐰Our journey started with a simple problem we experienced ourselves: traditional rabbit litter boxes can be messy, difficult to clean, and often mix urine, droppings, litter and hay together. We believed there had to be a better way.That idea led to the creation of Lavieloo, a purpose-designed rabbit litter box that separates urine and droppings, helping bunny parents keep their rabbits' litter areas cleaner while making everyday cleaning and maintenance easier.Getting here wasn't an overnight journey. Lavieloo began as a crowdfunding project and went through extensive prototyping, product development, tooling and manufacturing before reaching bunny homes around the world. So after having the lavieloo for just over two months, I wanted to wait to give my honest review.
Firstly I want to say, I think this is the best thing I have ever spent my adult money on!! Taking care of two bunnies(which feels more like looking after two furry toddlers) can be very time consuming when you work full time and then having to clean them every single day too. This litterbox has cut my cleaning time by half (not on the days they throw their hay rack on the floor and decide to throw a hay party)
I bought the Lavieloo Essential because that fit my needs. My girl’s full time job was using her old litter box as a dig box (even though she has a designated dig box) and every day without a doubt half of the contents of the litter box was on the floor and I needed something to solve this problem. She also used to sit in her pee all the time, so that was another problem too. I searched for months to try the perfect litterbox and then I came across lavieloo!
I was a little bit hesitant at first because I couldn’t see many reviews online but after months of consideration I caved in and ordered one and honestly it was the best decision of my life! It saves me so much time cleaning everyday and my girl is no longer covered in pee! It took a little trial and error on how to set up their hay, because at first they were using the platform part to pee on. But I got a couple of hay basket to cover that corner and it works perfectly now. I use a lot fewer wood pellets now because none of them are all over my floor every day anymore. My bunnies took a liking to it straight away and sometimes I even catch my girl having a quick nap in there from time to time.
The plastic grate is a high quality and doesn’t dip when the bunnies sit on it and it’s the perfect size for two bunnies to eat and poop at the same time and the grate size is perfect for the poop to fall through. Sometimes hay sticks to the top, but a quick wipe everyday keeps it maintainable. The cleaning process is easy, I soak it in water with vinegar and washing up liquid for a hour or so and after that it just need a light scrub and I find nothing is stuck in the holes. So far the plastic has stayed odourless using this cleaning method, which I had a problem with with my last litter box.
The shipping took just over 60 days to Germany (if you’re a loser like me you can track the container on a vessel tracker, so you know it’s every movement in the sea). The packaging it came in was extremely strong and I just loved the detail and all the writing on the package. You can really tell you guys put so much detail and effort into everything! (It took me a couple of days to notice the logo on the steel base said lavieloo which I found cool)

Amazing concept! A few adjustments and it’s perfect!
I love the concept! I do wish the system worked better for the urine. Even with absorbent pellets, it seems to really pool under the solid waste holder and tends to make a mess when emptying! One other thing is the coating on the metal base has started to peel off after only about 2 months of use. But I love everything else!

We'd like to suggest another little workaround! Try adding a thin layer of pine pellet sawdust underneath the poop tray. This should help absorb any urine that pools beneath it and make cleaning a little less messy.
Regarding the peeling coating, we're sorry to hear about this. We've experienced something similar ourselves when soaking with vinegar for cleaning. If the cleaning agent is too acidic or left on for too long, it can affect the coating. We're also looking into whether the acidity of rabbit urine could contribute to this issue.
In fact, we're considering switching to a bare, uncoated stainless steel base for future production. It might not look as aesthetically pleasing, but it would be more practical and easier to clean. Sometimes, functionality matters more than aesthetics!
As a small business, we're still learning and improving, and feedback like yours genuinely helps us make LavieLoo better.

I absolutely love the lavieloo! The only complaint I have about it is I wish the ramp had a better way to secure it. My little bun thinks it’s a game to knock the ramp off everytime I fix it!

The toilet is big (massive), love the fact that they aren't standing on their pee or poo.
They seem to be comfortable using it and have adapted very well and fast. And love the high walls because they tend to lift their butt very high and try pee over, which in this case they are very good hight.
Though the waiting time for arrival is long but definitely worth it, I waited a little over 60 days but that's because we are in the EU and it was imported by boat.
Seller was very helpful, calm and lovely.

The pee-poo separation doesn't work so save your money and get the "essential" model instead.
I purchased their "pro" model with the pee-poo separation feature. The separation system really doesn't work. The slope of the grate isn't steep enough to get the poops to roll down it, hay easily falls through the upper grate and quickly blocks the poo ramp anyway, and pee still ends up in the poo tray at the bottom sometimes (if the bunnies pee near that end of the little box). It's also much harder to clean the pee-poo separation grate since hay gets stuck in the tiny openings and has to be removed by hand - spraying it down with water isn't enough to dislodge the hay. The ramp is poorly designed as well. It has two tiny nubs that connect it to the litterbox but they're way too small and the bunnies inadvertently knock it loose all the time. Luckily my bunnies are big enough and healthy enough to just jump up and don't really need the ramp.
I do like the quality of the basin and the top grate, but I really wish I had saved the $65 and gotten the cheaper model since none of the fancy features of the "pro" even work.

We're glad to hear that you like the quality of the bottom and top grate, but we completely hear you regarding the separation system, hay getting caught in the grate, and especially the ramp attachment.
In fact, some of the points you've raised are areas we've already identified for improvement from feedback from our first production batch. We are currently reviewing and planning to improve the separation system, including simplifying some components and improving the overall everyday experience.
Lavieloo was created by bunny owners ourselves, and this first production has taught us a tremendous amount about how differently every bunny uses their litterbox. We don't want to pretend that we've gotten every detail perfect on our first try.

I love the product and they’re honesty, I was really worried buying something online, and when I received the wrong product, they immediately rectify, sent me my product and allowed me to keep the one that they sent by mistake. I felt very happy and my bunnies love their little box.

Yes, it is expensive but sooo worth it to separate the pee from the poo. We use it as fertilizer but also makes litter time go faster!

There is a long delivery time but they are up front about that. This has been transforming for my bunnies and apart from the odd random poo which is to be expected, they go in here A LOT, great to have all the mess in one place. Would love it to come with an attached but detachable hay/water feeder and bags specifically for the tray, but would highly recommend

(Until owners get around to updating this profile, they are based in Singapore!) Amazing setup. We preordered the pee & poo separating litterbox December 2025, and while the production and shipping took a LONG time (arrived in Australia late February 2026), we received regular email updates on production, product testing, and shipping, and when finally received it was everything we'd hoped for.
Our favourite feature is the specially designed, rounded grating, which prevents sore hocks, prevents pee pooling, and is big enough for poops to drop through while small enough to support even minilops! We've had trouble with urine staining on bun's feet for a long time, and this has pretty much vanished while using Lavieloo. My boy is also SO excited to use it every time--it's clear he LOVES that his feet and butt stay clean while he sits grazing. He's given me a laugh quite a few times as he sits and poops, head cocked in amazement as he processes that it just magically disappears from beneath him.
The pee and poo separation system is the tiniest bit janky, but that's such an easy fix it's near irrelevant. The problem is poops very rarely roll down the mesh incline into the poop tray like they are supposed to, but you can just lift the mesh with its handle and shake it to make the poops roll down. Urine filters through like a breeze. Mesh needs cleaning more often than thought, as small bits of hay can get stuck in the mesh and plug up the holes. But overall, incredible system we are very happy with. Also fantastic that Lavieloo offers a cheaper version of their litterbox that doesn't separate pee and poo, but keeps their standout feature in our opinion--the comfortable, rounded, no-pee-pooling grating on top.
It's expensive, but we so highly, highly recommend this amazing product. In our eyes, the initial extra expense pays for itself many times over in preventing urine scalding and fur matting for our precious babies!
