We understand how this discrepancy would be frustrating and may have caused concern. Regarding pricing, Railbookers works with live inventory systems through our rail and accommodation partners. This means availability and pricing can change in real time based on demand and remaining space at the moment a booking is secured. In this instance, the rail services were requested within a short time frame of the departure date, which can result in higher fares due to limited discounted inventory. We are able to secure many rail services up to two years in advance, and booking earlier often provides access to lower promotional fares and better availability. As outlined in our terms and conditions, all pricing is subject to change until payment is processed and the reservation is confirmed. We are also very sorry to hear that your interaction did not feel respectful or supportive. That is never the experience we want for our clients.
