One is the temporary authorization (hold) on your card that guarantees your purchase. 2. The other is the first installment, which is charged immediately. We have not charged you in full; what you are seeing is the temporary authorization hold, plus your first payment.  With Splitit, you get the benefit of only paying your monthly installment, plus all the benefits of paying with your existing credit card, no new loans or any additional fees! Hi Taras, Thank you for the opportunity to clarify how Splitit installment plans work. After checkout, you will see two transactions on your credit card: 1. One is a temporary authorization (hold); this is not a charge and you do not pay this amount.  1. It is simply a pre-authorization, which is standard for many other types of purchases on your credit card (think hotels, gasoline, etc.).  2. The other is the first installment charge. 1. Each month after, your installment payment is automatically charged until your plan is complete.  Splitit installment plans work using your available credit card balance. Splitit is a technology company that makes the installment plan possible, but your purchase and any order changes are always handled by the Merchant.
