Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently praise the exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and professional tour guides who make every trip memorable and deeply engaging for everyone in the group. Reviewers also deeply appreciate the seamless organization, comfortable accommodations, and well-planned itineraries that smoothly cover breathtaking landscapes, sacred temples, and various cultural sites. However, some people mentioned that the long bus rides could be physically challenging and rather uncomfortable during extended travel days. Some travelers noted that spending many long hours on the road left limited opportunities to independently explore the local destinations along the route.

Nice Tibet trip

We really enjoyed our trip. Our guide, Jigme, was knowledgeable and explained everything clearly, especially the history and significance of Buddhism and the monasteries we visited. We visited all the places listed in the itinerary, and everything was very well organized. We would have liked to spend more time at Everest base camp. The DIY atelier was a nice touch.

The trip was more than I expected.

The trip was more than I expected. Perfectly organised from the beginning to the very end, worry-free. I loved the itinerary, the hotels, the meals provided, comfortable transportation and the small size of the group. I felt well taken care of by the knowledgeable and experienced guide Jigme and the driver. I will definitely recommend Tibet Vista to anybody wishing to visit Tibet!

It was an amazing tour to explore over Tibet

It was an amazing tour to explore starting from Beijing, Lhasa, and drove through Tibet, including Everest Base Camp, then finally in such a short period. It was a bit pitty I could not make a train trip from Beijing to Lhasa because of weather, but good trade to get an extra day. Anyway we, as a group, had a wonderful experiences with great nature and culture. Thanks for all the works done by Tibet Vista, especially our lovely guide, Dickey and joyful driver, Dadhun.

I had an unforgettable experience…

I had an unforgettable experience travelling to Tibet with Tibet Vista. The entire tour was well-organized, and the service provided throughout the journey was excellent. A special thanks to our tour guide, Jigme, who made the trip truly memorable. Jigme was friendly, patient, professional, and very knowledgeable about Tibetan history, culture, and traditions. His explanations at each destination helped us understand and appreciate the beauty and spirituality of Tibet even more. The places we visited were breathtaking — from the magnificent monasteries and historic sites to the beautiful mountains, lakes, and stunning landscapes. Every day brought new experiences and unforgettable memories. The transportation, accommodation, and overall arrangements were handled smoothly. Jigme and the Tibet Vista team always made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of, especially during the high-altitude journey. Thank you, Tibet Vista, and especially Jigme, for making this trip such a wonderful experience. Tibet is a truly amazing destination, and I would highly recommend Tibet Vista to anyone planning to explore this beautiful land.

Wonderful and memorable trip.

Wonderful and memorable trip. Our tour guide Jigme and the driver were both really friendly and professional. Jigme is very knowledgeable about Tibet culture, religion, history - it's a pleasure to listen to him and he adapts to the group preferences. The DIY class was a big plus which allow you to bring back gifts and great memories.

Our guide: Ga Rong

Our journey to Mount Kailash was one of the most meaningful experiences of our lives, and a huge part of that was because of our incredible guide, Ga Rong We travelled as a family of four, and from the very beginning he looked after us as though we were his own family. What stood out most was the genuine care and concern he showed, especially for our son, who suffered from altitude sickness during the pilgrimage. One of the biggest challenges was arranging horses for the second day of the Kora. Despite the difficulties and limited availability, he did everything possible to secure them for us, which made an enormous difference. He also gave clear and thoughtful instructions to our porter, ensuring our Kora was as smooth and comfortable as it could be. Every detail was taken care of. Throughout the journey, he knew exactly when to stop for breaks, choosing the right places to rest, acclimatise, and regain our energy. Those thoughtful decisions made the long and demanding journey much more manageable. What impressed us most was that his support went far beyond simply guiding us from one place to another. He anticipated our needs, solved problems before they became stressful, and constantly checked that every member of our family was doing well. His kindness, patience, professionalism, and genuine compassion gave us confidence throughout the pilgrimage. Mount Kailash is a journey that tests you physically and emotionally. Having someone who truly cares about your well-being makes all the difference. We are deeply grateful for everything he did for our family and will always remember his dedication and warmth. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide, and we recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone undertaking this extraordinary pilgrimage.

10day kailash tour with Mr Ga Rong

Our guide Mr Ga Rong our guide was epic. He was very knowledgeable in the local culture and catered to our need. He also has great language skills. The tour itinerary was wonderfully created and the I would highly recommend them and our guide. Very fun but tiring indeed for the round about Mnt kailash

15 day everest base camp and Kailash tour

We did the 15 day everest base camp and mt kailash trek tour. Superbly organised. Very prompt response to email queries at all stages. Arranged all permits with no stress, and arranged for us to pick up the tibet permit from hotel in Beijing. Dickey was a superb guide. Very knowledgeable and passionate about Tibet, especially in monasteries. Very flexible to adapt the tour as needed. Very supportive on the Kailash trek, enabling faster walkers to go ahead and looking after slower members of the group. Found good restaurants. Very friendly and fun, thank you Our bus was also very comfortable and driver Dadhun was very friendly, happy and safe. So highly recommend Tibet Vista. Couldn't ask for a better company, guide and driver to tour this beautiful country, and cover the big distances involved. Thank you

A Safe and Successful Kailash Parikrama with Tibet Vista

Booking a spiritual trip like the Kailash yatra is a huge deal, and you really need a team you can trust with your safety. I recently travelled with Tibet Vista in a large group of 34, and they absolutely delivered. Just a heads-up for anyone booking in the future, the Kathmandu portion of the trip was a bit disorganised, and the local partners in Nepal weren't the most helpful. However, the moment we crossed the border into Tibet, the service became excellent. Our lead guide, Kelsang Dorje (who goes by KD), was incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable and really brought the background of all the monasteries we toured, as well as the capital city and Everest Base Camp, to life. He even went out of his way to show us real local spots for tea/restaurants/shopping and was always snapping amazing photos of our group. Whenever we hit a rough patch KD, and our other guide Tensing, stayed completely calm under pressure. They worked their magic to navigate the local restrictions, lock down our paperwork, find us places to sleep when there was very limited availability during the Kora, and get us the horses and oxygen we needed to keep us going safely. Also must mention our Sherpa crew here (Shera, Nitesh, Babu). Trekking at that altitude is brutal, but they kept our spirits up with constant smiles and were always there to help us when we were struggling. They cooked fresh meals for us every single day, and keeping a massive group fed without a single case of a stomach bug is commendable. If you are thinking of doing the Kailash trek or visiting Tibet, this is the company to use. They truly looked out for us and made sure we all finished the journey safely.

Panchenjap is an excellent guide and Tibet Vista ensured a great experience!

Panchenjap is an excellent guide and took great pains to ensure a very good experience throughout our trip. Given the high volume of tourists/ pilgrims for the Year of the Horse, there was a lot of uncertainty and some needed change of plans for stays and schedules. Tibet Vista did not have much control over most of this and perhaps underestimated some of the challenges. That said, Panchenjap and Tibet Vista (Kristin and others) were very responsive to any issues and did make changes on the fly to ensure a good experience. This included getting us hard-to-get horses for the toughest part of the Kailash Kora (morning of Day 2), adding in a short visit to the Nandi mountain near Darchen and an amazing visit to a quiet and beautiful part of Lake Manasarovar, along with upgrading a couple of hotel stays. This responsiveness and a real desire to provide a positive experience is much appreciated. The only suggestion I would have is to alert others traveling this year (and in future) to expect some changes and uncertainties that are somewhat outside Tibet Vista's control given the nature of the travel and remoteness of some locations.

Mount Kailash Pilgrimage – Great Guide, But Clarify Hotels Before Booking

We chose Tibet Vista because we were looking for a Mount Kailash pilgrimage that balanced spirituality with comfort. We understood that traveling in Tibet is challenging and remote, and we weren’t expecting luxury everywhere. However, because this was a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage, we were willing to pay more for a tour operator that advertised better accommodations, comfort, and a well-organized experience. Unfortunately, while parts of the trip exceeded our expectations, there were several important areas where the experience did not match what was promised. We recently completed our Mount Kailash and Everest Base Camp journey with Tibet Vista. Overall, it was a memorable pilgrimage, but there are several things future travelers should know before booking. First, the positives. Our guide, Panchen Jab, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, patient, caring, and always willing to help. Our coordinator, Kristin, was also excellent. Whenever issues arose, she responded quickly and genuinely tried to resolve them, which we appreciated. However, I strongly recommend that anyone booking with Tibet Vista request the complete list of hotels before making the final payment and read the reviews yourself. Do not assume the accommodations shown during the booking process will be the ones you actually receive. One of our biggest disappointments was our accommodation at Dirapuk. The accommodation we were initially shown appeared to be a shared dormitory-style room, but when we arrived, we were assigned a bunk-style compartment that felt more like a train sleeper cabin, with almost no room to move or breathe. My wife is claustrophobic, and we had informed Tibet Vista from the very beginning about her condition. We specifically requested upgraded accommodations well in advance, so this was very disappointing. To make matters worse, we arrived in Dirapuk around 5:00 PM but were left waiting until approximately 8:30 PM without knowing where we would be staying. When we asked what was happening, we were told that a large tour group from India had arrived and had taken the available rooms. Interestingly, another family from Australia who arrived around the same time was accommodated at Zhirebu Lodge, while we continued waiting. After waiting for about 3½ hours, we were finally told that alternative accommodation had been found, but it required us to walk approximately 2 km in the freezing cold after an already long day of travel. The alternative accommodation was extremely cold, with minimal insulation. It honestly felt like sleeping inside an icebox, making it one of the most uncomfortable nights of our pilgrimage. Based on our experience, I would avoid staying at the Letu Hotel in Darchen. Our room had a strong sewer odor that made the stay very unpleasant. It’s not only our room other members who came in complained about the same thing. If you’re booking through Tibet Vista, ask if another hotel is available. The other family stayed in Himalaya hotel which was good and had good breakfast compared to Letu Hotel which had a very basic breakfast. On the positive side, some of the upgraded hotels during the trip were excellent. We were very happy with the Shangri-La Hotel, the Hilton in Shigatse, and the Rongbuk Hotel near Everest Base Camp, Vienna Hotel, Gyirong Qiaomulang hotel which were comfortable and enjoyable. Another recommendation is to ask how many people will be in your group and what size vehicle will be used. We were initially assigned a smaller bus that left very little room for luggage and personal belongings. After we raised our concerns, Tibet Vista arranged a larger bus, which made the rest of the journey much more comfortable. The Mount Kailash pilgrimage itself was an incredible and life-changing experience. Tibet Vista has excellent guides and responsive coordinators, but travelers should be proactive about confirming hotels, transportation, room types, and upgrade requests before departure. Doing so can help avoid unexpected disappointments and ensure your focus remains on the spiritual journey rather than accommodation issues. My intention in writing this review is not to discourage anyone from traveling with Tibet Vista, because Mount Kailash is truly a life-changing pilgrimage. I like Tibet Vista and its a good reputable company Rather, I hope future travelers ask the right questions before booking. Confirm the exact hotels, verify any promised upgrades in writing, ask how many people will be in your group, and confirm the type of vehicle that will be used. Had we done this more thoroughly, much of the stress we experienced could likely have been avoided.

Wonderful Mount Kailash kora and wonderful guide Dickey :)

We have just returned from a spell-binding trip from Lhasa to EBC to Mount Kailash and ending in Kathmandu. Our wonderful guide, Dickey, was so patient and attentive to every member of the party, offering sound advice related to the potential dangers of the altitude. She is also highly knowledgeable and provided us with a clear understanding of the history and significance of the sacred places we visited. She tirelessly dealt with all of the bureaucratic aspects of the paperwork and checkpoints, compounded in complexity in this Year of the Horse. And always with patience, good humour and a wonderful smile. Thank you so much for being the best guide we could have wished for :) Our driver, Mr Li Jie navigated the steep passes safely and comfortably. Given the long distances involved, we wondered if it might not be possible to have two drivers on each tour. We are very grateful to Mr Li Jie for his kind service. We were able to complete the kora successfully, a long-standing dream:) Thank you for making this possible for us. Susan
