According to Record Go’s policy, which is accepted during the reservation process, you are not allowed to cross the border in the rental vehicle to a country other than the country where you picked it up. The policy also states that unauthorized cross-border travel is subject to a minimum penalty fee of EUR 400, plus an additional charge of EUR 0.25 per kilometre driven. As these terms were accepted at the time of booking, the charges related to unauthorized cross-border travel were applied in accordance with the agreed rental conditions. While we understand your frustration, these charges are determined by the supplier’s policy and are considered valid under the signed rental agreement. Unfortunately, during the conversation, profanity was directed toward our agent and the call was ended abruptly.
