Trade Assurance is a scam—zero protection against contract breach and stolen parcels
I am extremely disappointed with Alibaba’s Trade Assurance. I used this platform for my dropshipping business under the impression that my money was safe if a seller violated our terms. That is completely false.My supplier (Case 310364651501020674) explicitly promised a 7–9 day delivery window in writing. They breached the contract by taking 3 weeks just to dispatch the item, which caused my customer to cancel. I opened an official dispute BEFORE delivery stating I was at work and would not accept the shipment.Despite this, the carrier (Royal Mail) abandoned the high-value parcel unattended on the floor of a public, shared communal hallway without a signature. The package vanished and was stolen before I ever returned home. I never saw or possessed the items. The seller then tried to manipulate me into an off-platform international DHL return for goods they knew were lost.Alibaba's dispute team completely ignored the contract breach, ignored the proof of off-platform manipulation, and ignored the carrier photo showing the box left exposed in a public space. They ruled in favor of the seller simply because a tracking number said "delivered."Trade Assurance does not protect buyers; it protects fraudulent shipping practices. I am now forced to claw my money back through a credit card chargeback with American Express. Avoid this platform if you value your business capital. Edit:- After Alibaba posted an response on my feedback they closed the open order and released money to the scam seller, seriously Alibaba is a joke. Stay away from these scammers. TVCmall is billion times better then this scam Alibaba!!!! Their Trade Assurance is a big time scam to con buyers!!
