BUYER BEWARE
UPDATE: JOVS agreed to issue a full refund if I would take down my previous review. I told them I would not take it down but will update the review. I received the full refund back to my credit card this mrng, so per my agreement with them, I am updating my review to my issues resolved. as of 9/21/2026. BUYER BEWARE — “60-DAY REFUND” POLICY WAS NOTHING LIKE I EXPECTED I am absolutely disgusted with my experience with JOVS. In my opinion, the way this company advertises its “60-day refund” policy is extremely misleading based on what happened when I actually tried to return my purchase. I ordered JOVS EMS shorts on September 4 and received them on September 14. I opened the package, immediately realized the shorts were going to be too large for me, and emailed JOVS Customer Service THAT SAME DAY requesting a return. I did not wear them. I did not use them. I did not damage them. I contacted JOVS immediately upon receiving and inspecting them. Then I heard NOTHING. After waiting two days, I contacted them again on September 16 and told them that I was prepared to dispute the charge with American Express. Amazingly, that finally got a response. They asked me to send photographs of the product, which I immediately provided. Then came the unbelievable part: JOVS told me that because I had OPENED THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING, I could not receive a full refund. Seriously? HOW IS A CUSTOMER SUPPOSED TO DETERMINE WHETHER A PAIR OF SHORTS FITS WITHOUT OPENING THE PACKAGE? Why prominently advertise a 60-day refund if a customer who contacts you on THE VERY DAY THE PRODUCT ARRIVES cannot return it for a full refund simply because they opened the package to inspect it? Their proposed alternative was equally outrageous: I was told that I could keep the product for the required period and later return it for only 30% of what I originally paid. So I am apparently supposed to keep shorts that I already know are too large and that I cannot properly use, wait, and then accept a fraction of my money back? Absolutely not. I purchased this product relying in part on the advertised refund policy. Had I understood that merely opening the packaging to determine whether the shorts fit could prevent me from receiving a full refund, I WOULD NEVER HAVE PURCHASED THEM. What makes this experience even worse is that my original return request seemingly went unanswered until I mentioned disputing the charge with American Express. I have now disputed the charge with American Express and provided the circumstances surrounding this transaction. In my opinion, JOVS needs to make the limitations of its advertised “60-day refund” policy PROMINENTLY AND UNMISTAKABLY CLEAR BEFORE A CUSTOMER PURCHASES, not after the customer has paid, received the merchandise, opened the package, and attempted to return it. This experience has left me feeling completely misled as a consumer. A “60-day refund” advertisement should not require customers to discover major restrictions only when they actually try to obtain the advertised refund. BUYERS: PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL BEFORE ORDERING FROM JOVS. Read every word of the return policy, take screenshots of the advertised refund offer, and understand exactly what they will and will not refund BEFORE giving this company your money. I will never purchase another product from JOVS, and based on my experience, I absolutely cannot recommend this company.
