Custom made is not custom fit
Such a shame as JJ’s have some beautiful dresses on their website but had a custom made dress for my daughters wedding as I am conscious about my stomach. Searched for 18 months for a dress to find the right one. Sent in my measurements thinking it will fit just right but unfortunately it was too big everywhere and I didn’t even need to undo it to put it on. I also ordered ankle length but it is nowhere long enough. They have just taken a bigger size dress and taken it in at points. The shoulders were too big, the underarms hung down so far you could see all my bra, the bust was massive. I took it to a seamstress as I was hoping she might be able to help. To fix it she would need to lift the shoulders, takes. The bust but it would mean the style would not sit in the right place, it would be even shorter and she would need to take out the built in bra. I have read that JJ’s have tried to say on other reviews that maybe people did not put in the right measurements but I have measured myself after the dress came to check and I definitely had the right measurements. Website says you cannot get a refund on custom fit so I am massively out of pocket. Tried to put a review for the dress on the website but it has not been put up so it looks like they only put up the good reviews. My advice is be very careful.
