asked 2x for more money after order was already paid
I ordered PCBs and SMD assembling with kitted parts sourcing, and paid 154 USD on 02/28 for the PCBs and the service. A few days later they charged me 92 USD for the same order, however. Another day later they charged me again this time 20.36 USD, which was expected for the parts they sourced. Another week later, they found out that my PCBs require plated half-holes, and they charged me ridiculously 103.30 USD for this "special service". I paid a total of 350 USD for 10 assembled prototypes 12x16mm, parts not included. When I placed my order, I sent custom chips from Canada to them for assembling, which was supposed to take not more than 2 weeks. After 3 and 4 weeks I asked why my order is still not in fabrication, and they came up with some excuse like missing files, but did not mention at all that my chips haven't arrived. 6 weeks after I placed my order they told me they have never received my chips, and they would also need a silkscreen file for production. 6 weeks after my project has passed the audit!! They said production would take 4 weeks, but they wasted additional 2 weeks before even telling me the parts wouldn't have arrived. I will send them the my chips again, and they promised me to be able to finish my boards. I will only believe this when I finally receive my modules, completed with my chips. I think, a customer receives a quote, pays for it, and that's it. But I had to pay 225% of what the quote and the initial payment was. If they would have shown me that I had to pay 350 instead of 150 USD for the same job, I would have definitely ordered somewhere else. I went with Allpcb because they quoted me the best price in the first place. I changed my review from 1 to 2 stars due to the fact that the product quality I received in the past is definitely high, and I didn't have such problem with former orders.
