Beware of hardware failures
I’ve been an Eight Sleep customer almost since launch and recently upgraded to the Pod 5 and base. Until a month ago, my experience was overwhelmingly positive. Then, my Pod stopped functioning properly. After completing all standard troubleshooting, I opened an in-app support case. Receiving no response, I sent an email. What followed was a frustrating loop of generic, AI-generated replies insisting the unit is operating normally based on remote diagnostics, even suggesting that the issue is a change in my body or blankets rather than hardware failure. Despite being a loyal customer for years, I’ve received zero meaningful human support—just patronizing deflection. As a result, I have canceled my subscription and am currently pursuing a warranty claim. Great hardware, but when things break, expect automated blame-shifting instead of actual customer service.
