Appalling Chinese Company with Total Disregard for UK Consumer Law
My experience with Honor has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I purchased a Honor Magicbook 16 Pro laptop from them less than two years ago, and it developed a major battery fault shortly after the one-year warranty expired. This timing is suspiciously convenient and raises concerns about planned obsolescence, where products are seemingly designed to fail just after the warranty period ends, forcing customers to pay for expensive repairs or replacements. Despite UK consumer law under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which provides protection for up to six years for faulty goods, Honor has repeatedly refused to acknowledge their legal obligations. After multiple communications, including a discussion with a representative who assured me my case would be escalated, I have received nothing but dismissive responses citing their one-year warranty policy — which is irrelevant given the clear legal requirements in the UK. Their customer service team completely ignored my requests and failed to respond appropriately, even after I provided clear evidence of the law they are violating. Having read through other reviews on Trustpilot, I can see that many customers have had similar experiences, and unfortunately, I can confirm that the negative reviews are absolutely true. Honor seems to ignore valid concerns and shows a total disregard for their customers, especially when dealing with issues that occur outside their very limited warranty period. Due to Honor’s refusal to comply with UK law, I have already initiated a claim through the small claims court to enforce my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I am determined to hold Honor accountable for their disregard of consumer protections, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this company if you expect fair treatment and respect for your legal rights. Rating: 1/5 Verdict: Avoid Honor if you want reliable customer service and companies that respect consumer law!
