Dishonourable, Dishonest, Arrogant, Complacent
If I could give zero stars I would. I received a GT-395 watch with my Huawei Mate 20 Pro on 18/12/18 and paid approx €1,100.00 (£965). I started to use the watch the first week in January 2019 to monitor my sleep and heart rate. Within the week the silicone-rubber watchstrap had caused blistering and a red sore extending around my wrist. I reported this to UK & Ireland customer services and was told to email huawei mobile UK attaching photos of the allergy and a letter from my doctor confirming that the watchstrap was the probable cause. I emailed everything on 20th January 2019. Doctors appointments aren't free in Ireland unlike the UK so I had to pay €70 (£61). I informed Huawei I wanted to be reimbursed. Consumer Protection defines that €70 as a 'Consequential Loss' since it is a cost arising from the use of a company product. According to customer services my case was escalated to senior managers and to the Legal department that same day. Since 20th January I have tried many times to reach a resolution with Huawei and to obtain an update for my case but I have met resistance each time. No one will tell me what progress has been made, no one will tell me at what stage the case is, no one will explain how long the case will take to resolve, no one will send me an email in answer to my questions. I have made over 30 calls between 20/01 and 03/07 and sent 6 emails including to their CEO Complaints but even they would not step in and even joined in with the lies by saying I was going to be contacted shortly. In my last call on 03/07 I was told by the advisor that he would ask someone to contact me and if they don't he will be monitoring the situation and he will take ownership and call me himself. He never did call me - but then I was expecting that because I had spoken to him once before. I sold my Huawei P30 Pro and GT395 watch recently. Finally had enough of Huawei. I still have the names of the people I have spoken to. The only reason I am not mentioning them is because of Data Privacy. A 40Mb camera is great since there's not many companies out there selling them but once the novelty wears off and something goes wrong, you'll be stuck with a product that doesn't work, trying to speak to a company that doesn't want to know. Do yourselves a favour and look at Samsung etc. Another thing to consider is this: If you use Facebook, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Twitter any social app for that matter, a 40Mb camera will mean nothing since most social apps only allow a maximum picture size of between 5 - 12Mp to save Server space. Even emails only allow file attachments of 5Mb. You'll never be able to share those large photos socially. If you take 40Mp photos on the phone they need more space in the memory because they are larger. Two 4 minute full HD videos recorded on the P30 Pro can take up 8Gb of memory. Stick to a 12Mp camera and to a company that knows how to treat its customers. Huawei doesn't care. They are the leading mobile seller in the world so they don't need to care about you once they have your money
