Blacklisted IPs as dangerous phishing spams pour from their servers month after month.
In my 25+ years of investigating spam I have never come close to experiencing what this company has been allowing and involved in. This problem started back in 2024 and continues even today. Either Kamatera is deeply involved in one of the largest phishing operations to date, or their servers have been so compromised that scammers run freely through them and abuse them at their will. When complaints are filed, either directly or through SpamCop, one receives automated emails and then nothing gets done. They did respond last year when I filed a critical review here on TrustPilot, but their assurances about the problem proved to be just BS. All they need to do is close the accounts spamming, but apparently crime pays well. All of these spams are similar and come from one party that has been paying Kamatera. The spam operation is absolutely huge and so severe that many of the companies that are victims have had to create warnings on their websites regarding the fake emails people are receiving. These spams have even made the news numerous times, where they warn the public not to fall for what the emails say. Kamatera has been very well aware of this for many, many months. I have personally filed hundreds of spam complaints showing the emails coming their servers have malware links, forged headers, and pose as companies such as Lowe's, CVS. Costco, Ace Hardware, Home Depot, and even Google Cloud. They have known about his for a while now and yet their client is still attacking people. These are all phishing spams, which try and sucker people into giving them credit card and account data. Each batch of spams comes from different IPs within their network. It is apparent they are either one of Kamatera's larger clients which they are knowingly allowing them to run scam operations, or else Kamatera's servers are so compromised there are dangerous cybercrime people who have access to their systems. Complaints are futile, even after IPs are blacklisted because of the horrible things they are allowing to happen on their networks. I have provided depositions and expertise on numerous cases for the FTC, DOJ and even the FBI on spam operations. Every other company I have filed spam complaints are serious about clients who break the law and typically close the scam accounts within 24-48 hours. Kamatera? 18+ months and the phishing spams still pour out by the millions, possibly billions. Kamatera’s last response regarding my direct complaints? “From now on, it was decided that if you will receive these type of mails, you need to go through an official route as Spamcop and the others, no need to send direct mails to our NOC, There will be no replies from us to you from now on.” Why does Kamatera even bother to have an abuse@ address if phishing complaints to them are such a bother to them? Kamatera will not even bother to respond to complaints about their servers involved in tons of ID theft scams. That really speaks volumes on the integrity of this company. If you don’t like those annoying emails like the ones falsely claiming they are companies like CVS, Lowe’s, Costco, Home Depot, Ace Hardware (and others) and how you won a prize (but you have to pay a fee),, or those fake invoice spams saying a large charge was made on your PayPal account, or even those fake Cloud alerts claiming your data will be deleted unless you pay, then stay away from this company. They continue to lease to this same scam operation month after month and consistently provides a safe base of operations which dumps untold amounts of scam spams on all of us every day. If you decide to use their servers: do not be surprised to have your company emails ending up flagged as spam or refused by other mail hosts because the IPs are on blacklists. Kamatera should really stop providing such a huge base of operations for spammers and stop profiting by continuing to allow these spammers to run through their networks, stop ignoring complaints, and stop telling people to go away when they complain about their mail accounts being flooded with scam spams from Kamatera servers. I’m hoping Kamatera will be investigated as their involvement as this has been out of control on their networks so long, and have filed formal complaint with the NY AG. This really needs to stop before anyone else falls victim to the scams pouring out of Kamatera’s servers. I would suggest avoiding this company until they get serious about this massive spam and phishing problems they have throughout their networks. It is really that bad. Cybercriminals need to be stopped, and companies that consistently provide services to them should be held liable if they are aware of the activities they are providing critical services for. Kamatera is very well aware of all of this, and has been for a very long time.
