Aircall

Horrible experience with the Aircall workspace

Look, as a dialer, it works fine — but the synchronization doesn’t always function properly. What really bothers me is that Aircall is forcing customers to switch to a new platform called Workspace — supposedly to manage all conversations in one place. Honestly, that’s what a CRM is for, and I’m not going to change mine. I would sincerely suggest that Aircall focus on improving their core product instead of pushing clients toward a half-baked app. Workspace has multiple limitations. For example, it doesn’t automatically recognize who a phone number belongs to — something the current Chrome extension does handle well. But the worst part? To use the Power Dialer, users are forced to manually export the contact list into an Excel or CSV file, format it exactly the way Aircall wants, upload it, and then start making calls. We’re in 2025, and a company that claims to generate $175 million in revenue is telling its customers: “Tough luck. If you want to use the Power Dialer, you’ll have to do it our way — export, reformat, upload, and only then you can start dialing.” This kind of process should have been automated years ago. It’s not just inconvenient — it’s completely out of step with what SaaS companies should be delivering in this day and age. Also — there are no useful tutorial videos on YouTube explaining how to use their products properly. Where is the marketing team? For a SaaS business, it’s basic: help your clients get the most out of your platform. Honestly, I’ve never seen a company more focused on self-promotion. All their content on X or YouTube is about how great they are — not about helping their users succeed. They’re clearly not listening to customer feedback, and frankly, it shows. This app had the potential to be a five-star tool — but with this level of friction and lack of customer focus, it’s far from that.
