Lost funds because of their intentional joining of your Last and First name without space.
Alipay for wallet requires use of PandaRemit for foreigners in China. I sent $100 to my account using both my phone number and my ids as verifications. Furthermore the payment was sent by our country’s payment system that gives the matching phone number. But when I check the app, the appended my surname to my first name without any spacing and then claimed that my name is mismatched. What a load of bs. I tried repeatedly to contact a human service support but got zero help. It says they will contact me in 48 hours and I got zero contact from them. It’s now 4 days and I think I’ll need to write off the $100 since I will be leaving China and even if they manage to sort out their mess, my funds will be locked in Alipay’s China wallet. It’s a massive scam. Shame on Alipay to have only one remittance partner for topping up their wallet. Complete mess. I can’t imagine how bad it would be if I had sent $2000 without first testing. $100 lesson. I’ll never ever use them and will tell everyone I know to avoid this scammer.
