I saved a year's worth of work and my sanity
I'll never know exactly how I did it, but I was exhausted at the end of a long day and I managed to delete an entire jump drive. It contained nearly a thousand files compiled over a period of a year in setting up an organization. Besides feeling like a total loser, I was devastated. On top of everything else, I lost Excel files containing three newsletter mailing lists with hundreds of names and addresses on them. I could not imagine how to go forward. Then a colleague sat down with my laptop and in less than a half hour, I had my files. We may have done something wrong because the files were all mixed together, so it took me the better part of a day to sort it all out again. And I couldn't open some of the files. Which is why I gave Wondershare Recoverit four stars instead of five. But when my friend asked if I was willing to pay the fee to get my files, I replied without hesitation, "Are you kidding? I'd give them my firstborn!" Under the right circumstances, anybody can make what seems to be a fatal error.
