I was so excited to receive my opal…
I was so excited to receive my opal rose gold engagement ring from my partner! I had wanted it ever since I stumbled across the site several years back. I would like to point out that I do have other jewellery from this site without issue which I love (earrings and necklace-also opal) Opal is my birthstone and all my jewellery contains the gem. However I’m absolutely devastated at how the stone looks after less than 1 year! The stone quickly discoloured and turned yellow despite the only time wearing it around water being when I wash my hands. I always take it off for bed and would never wear it for bathing/swimming/cleaning etc. I reported to costumer service that my ring had discoloured and there seemed to be a bubble within the stone. I followed the instructions to dry the stone out under a lamp for several days and although there was a slight improvement in colour I’m still left with a dull, yellowish opal with a strange bubble within. Absolutely devastating due to the fact I’m getting married this summer and the ring looks awful in pictures! Maybe not ideal as a ring you wear everyday if it’s so sensitive you can’t even wash your hands with it on.
